Paul D. Bishop is a Massachusetts-based estate planning attorney who, formerly a member of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., has spent his entire legal career in the areas of estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and succession planning for family businesses. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate counsel in 1981. He has extensive experience in advising clients how to plan for the needs of their families, and in providing comprehensive counseling to lower transfer tax burdens, protect family members and meet other specific objectives. Paul has also assisted his clients in structuring charitable gifts to meet present and deferred goals in ways mutually beneficial to client and charity. He serves as executor and as trustee for many of his clients. He counsels the boards of several charitable foundations.
Paul is active in Boston’s Park Street Church, where he has served as elder, trustee and treasurer. He is a former director of the World Relief Corporation. His interests range from opera to Byzantine history, from gardening to gourmet cooking. He and his wife, Camille, live in Wakefield. Paul is based in our Wellesley, Massachusetts office and also works frequently with clients at the Franklin office.
